The Real Estate College of Colorado has been providing real estate education for new licensees in Colorado for 42 years.  We offer both self-paced/self-study as well as in-classroom training (in Colorado Springs).

The Colorado Division of Real Estate requires 168 hours of education (consisting of six courses) to obtain a Real Estate license for new licensees.

Our courses contain all of the information you'll need in order to pass the exam.  You'll receive our printed textbooks, access to our interactive online instruction program, our Exam Prep Review and Exam Simulations.

All six courses are typically completed in a 3-4 month time frame (a little faster for our classroom instruction.)  Each course has a final examination, which must be passed with a score of 75% or better.  There are many quizzes throughout the material to review your comprehension of the materials.  They are not required, but are extremely helpful and highly recommended.  Upon completion of all of the required course examinations and our exit examination you will receive the Real Estate Commission REC33 form.  That form is your certificate of completion, stating that you've completed the Colorado Division of Real Estate education requirements and are authorized to take the State Real Estate Examination.

All our programs are designed to systematically guide our students step-by-step through the required materials and to prepare them to pass their licensing examination on the first attempt.

Upon passing your examination, you will be able to apply for your license, working as what is referred to as an "Associate Broker".  You will need to work with an Employing Broker for at least two years, after which you could apply to become an Independent or Employing Broker yourself, if you choose to do so.
